The Joie Roomie Glide is a bedside crib that lets parents co-sleep with their newborn whilst making sure they're safe. Its smooth gliding motion is able to soothe your baby to sleep. Its innovative features ensure that you can keep an eye on them without having to leave your own bed.

The cot's sliding side panel can be raised and lowered with the press of the button, making it easy to reach in and soothe a baby in the night. It also comes with 11 height adjustments that allow it to fit the mattress of almost any size bed and it includes adjustable folding feet to make sure that it's placed at just the right height.

In terms of safety the cot is padded and has mesh sides for better ventilation, and its mattress is made from high-density foam for extra protection. It is also wipeable and you can keep the crib clean. It is fitted with a bed sheet that is suitable for a crib.

Unlike some other bedside co sleeper cot cribs like the Roomie Glide is suitable for all beds, including divans due to its straps and clip attachment. It can also be used as a stand-alone crib when not attached to your bed and it's packed with features that are designed with parent-baby bonding in mind.

It is essential to keep in mind that this crib won't last as long once your baby turns six months. You'll need to buy a bigger crib. However, overall Roanna felt that the Joie Roomie Glide was a very good purchase and she especially liked its sleek design.

John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a fair price for a cot. She liked how it was positioned in her bedroom and thought the grey color would work in most modern homes. However, she pointed that it's not a great idea to rock a younger baby, as it can create a bad habit for later sleep patterns.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib is designed to provide a good night's rest. It features a drop side rail which can be easily lowered to feed your baby at night without having to disturb your little one or get them out of bed - it's ideal for breastfeeding mothers! It's also light and easy to move around during naps or for travel.

It's made of soft material and features breathable mesh sides to promote airflow. It comes in oak or charcoal with various melange fabrics that can be incorporated with most decor styles. Anna found it solid and secure when it was attached to her bed, with the legs securely snapping into the frame and the zips securely secured to ensure safety for babies. It took her about 10 minutes to assemble and didn't require tools, with clear instructions and a video as well as a customer support number available if you have any problems.

As well as the usual features you'd expect from a crib that is bedside that include the ability to connect to your existing bed with a stay-in-place connector system and six levels of height The CoZee comes with an additional incline option which can be used to help aid congestion or reflux in infants. It can also be washed in the machine - a must for all the dribbles and snot that accompany a new baby!

The CoZee is a fantastic option for keeping your child close during their first six months of learning to sleep independently. It can be used as a crib, changing station or toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa-bed extension pack, it could be transformed into an actual cot. Although it can't magically put your baby to sleep or feed them, it can rock the baby and take them to school.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of Chicco's most expensive options, but it comes with a lot of features. It's designed to be used as a side sleeper or standalone crib, and is suitable for babies up to six months. It's easy to open and close the side panel using a brand new mechanism. It's also more adjustable than its predecessor, having 11 different height settings and retractable legs for a secure place under any bed.

Our testers appreciated the ease of use offered by the side panel, that can be moved up and downwards with just one push of a switch. This was particularly helpful in the evening when feeding time was over, since they could reach in and pick up their baby without waking them up.

It is possible to lower the side panel it's own, however this is not recommended since it increases the likelihood that your child will get out of the cot. The safety locking system guarantees that the side panel will remain in place when it is properly attached to the mattress of the parent. This feature is great for peace of mind if you are breastfeeding and need frequent nighttime feeds.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be compatible with any bed that is divan-based as well as beds with drawers thanks to the legs that telescopic. It also comes with tilting functions to help babies who are refluxy and a rocking mode to help them sleep after eating. It is also very spacious and provides excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.

Our test participants found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, although it comes with a long instruction manual. It is a little heavier than other side-sleepers however, it is easily moved from one area to another. It can also be folded up into its travel bag, which is ideal for those who want to transport it. The only downside our testers found was that the side panel didn't move as much as some of the other models, which made it difficult to observe your child from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

If you're looking for a bedside crib that turns into cot crib that will grow with your child, then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth looking into. It's a sleeper crib that attaches securely to your bed and can be converted into a chic cot when your baby is old enough. Ideal for feeding at night and strengthening your bond with your new born.

Contrary to other cribs for bed, the Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. The mesh side panels with dual-view and airflow mattress that is hypoallergenic and breathable increase airflow and keep your baby cool and comfortable. The gentle slope can help reduce colic and reflux. The zipper-down side lets you to feed your baby or soothe them at night.

The kit for conversion to cot (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear instructions and everything you require to get started. It took us around an hour to put together and was surprisingly simple. The only drawback to the instructions was that some pictures did not have captions. This made it difficult to follow. Overall, the process was easy and the materials used were of top quality.

In the co sleeper bedside cot-sleeping position, we discovered the Shnuggle Air to be an ideal choice for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a C-section, because it lets them comfortably reach out to their baby to feed and comfort them without having to climb out of their bed. It's great for parents who do not want to go through the burden of putting their infant in a traditional cot, or even getting them out of it.

The gliding motion was found to be extremely helpful in lulling babies into sleep following meals at midday or night. The drop-down side can be easily accessible to feed or soothe babies in the middle of the night this was a huge draw for our exhausted test mums. The Joie Roomie Glide is a sleek and functional crib that isn't rocking, nor has extra features like an audio system.
