When they are opened they show a complete description and an icon for the appliance or ingredient that they correspond to. The restaurant's shop will trade blueprints for a brand new appliance or ingredient for an amount of money.
During the course of a game, blueprints can be transferred between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool based on the choice of Franchise Cards. This changes the kind of blueprints that a restaurant's shop sells for rerolls and which are available in the Non-droppable Pool.
